Do they have dog collars that shock the dog when it goes too far away?

Kind of like those house arrest things that alert the police when you go too far from your house.

Shock collars are cruel and can leave physiological scars.

Someone I know has one. If the dog goes beyond a certain distance from the beacon or whatever, the dog has a shock.
No idea what it’s called though sorry

No such thing exists.
As far as I know there are only 2 kinds of shock collars…training collars and those that come with the invisible fence.
Both are inhumane in my opinion, and using one for training can actually cause more behavioral problems.
If such a collar did exist, it would not have your desired effect since the dog would have no idea why it was being shocked, so it’s not even a sound idea.
You should simply try training your dog properly and perhaps getting a fence…both would solve your dilemma!

that’s horrid why would you want to harm your dog like that ???
wouldn’t it be better to have the dog chipped and maybe buy a collar with some kind of thing that shows you the location of the dog or maybe even a LEAD

yes they are called shock collars…they come with an invisible fence and mildly shock the dog if it leaves your yard. dont listen to all these idiots that think dogs are people!! there is nothing wrong with a shock collar i trained my lab with one and he is the best dog i have ever had.
hope i helped!

Yes they are called electrical fences.

How often they only work on your own yard and really its better and safer for you to teach your dog a solid come command.

These types of collars only teaches your dog its yard boundaries and off your yard it doesn’t help with the come command.
